About the Creek Cabins
The Creek Cabins are located in the historic Ben Lomond Village, a collection of around 20 rustic lodges nestled into the side of Legges Torr, Tasmania’s second highest peak at 1572m. Snowbound over the winter months, Ben Lomond is a true alpine environment in every sense from its ever changing weather, awe inspiring scenery, unique flora and fauna and the home of Tasmania’s only commercial ski field.
The Ben Lomond village is located deep within the national park and is completely off grid. Access is via the famous Jacobs Ladder road, arguably the most spectacular road in the country. The isolated village is the base for adventuring in both winter and summer with skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, Snowplay, walking and wildlife watching on offer.
The newly renovated cabins sleep up to 5 people and feature all the comforts of home including kitchenette, high speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs and central heating. The cabins are a short walk from the village carpark and a bus service is available to transport you to the top of the mountain from the lower carpark if you do not wish to drive.
A continental breakfast each morning is included with your booking. The only place to purchase food on the mountain is the Café located in the Ben Lomond Snow Sports building, which serves a variety of food and drink options from 9am-4:30pm Saturdays and Sundays. The Café also offers a dinner service to Creek Cabins guests from 6pm-8pm Thursday-Sunday, consisting of a rotating set menu of homestyle classics. Please note dinner service must be booked in advance
